Let the countdown to Christmas begin! This year I wanted to switch things up and try decorating a room in a non traditional Christmas style.
When I saw the new Woodland Winter Pals Organic Sheet I knew it was the perfect start to the perfect winter land theme. They have the perfect neutral colors that allows you to incorporate pastel colors or keep it gender neutral. Did I mention that Pottery Barn Kids Sheets are my favorite? They’re super soft and after washing the colors always remain vibrant.
Shopping at Pottery Barn Kids for a bedroom refresh is always go to because they offer coordinating items to make your makeover come together flawlessly. I couldn’t resist adding the matching this bear decorative pillow, it’s so cute. To complete her bed I added a cozy sherpa blanket to add some texture and I LOVE how it looks.
DECORATING TIP: Don’t be afraid to layer and mix prints when styling your bedding. In the winter add a cozy sherpa blanket under your sheets and for the warmer months fold your duvet down at the end of the bed.
Joelle’s room is always fun to decorate because I LOVE her bed. You guessed it, her bed is also from Pottery Barn Kids and it was seriously the best decision ever. This side of the bed is the showstopper. Closed storage at the bottom and open cubbies, what more could a mom, I mean Joelle need? lol
I used the same felt garland every year and it works perfectly with any holiday theme. This year I was able to find the cutest pink storage cubes from target along with the sherpa boxes. How cute are the green trees next to them?
On the opposite side of her bed I added the infamous Target houses to the cubbies and it looks sooooooo good! Under her loft bed we have her sleeping bag and beanbag chair.
Joelle uses this space to read and watch movies. One day we may add a bed but for now we love having this little nook under her bed.
DECORATING TIP: I ordered a extra sheet to cover her beanbag and I am not disappointed. I do this often when I can’t find coordinating items to add to the space.
Do you spy her sheet set on her dresser? I used a extra pillowcase to cover a picture and it looks GREAT with the felt trees. Did you know that her dresser is available in PINK? Check it out here!
I can’t say this enough, this bed has it all and decorating her desk is aways fun. I kept simple and added a mixture of felt trees and Target’s ceramic houses to her desk. Having her robe on her chair just makes this space extra cozy.
Thank you so much for checking out Joelle’s holiday room. If you love her room and thought my tips were helpful please share on your socials and drop me a comment.
real life always,
xoxo
