My sweet Rosie is FIVE. I can not believe how fast Rosie is growing. This party theme has been on my radar for 9 years. I wanted to do it with Joelle for her fifth birthday but we rented out Build a Bear instead. Boyfriend’s 5th birthday was Star Wars theme again because it was our first year of quaratine birthdays and supplies was limited. So I am thrilled to FINALLY plan a HI FIVE party.
Some parties I have the budget to splurge on fancy desserts and a cake and some parties I don’t. Fancy Sprinkles is a game changer for homemade desserts. Fancy Sprinkles will make all your desserts look FANCY. This cake is two cakes from Wegmans. I stacked them on top of each other and it was supper easy, too. I added straws to the middle of the large cake and placed the smaller one on top. To secure it I added straws to the smaller cake and pushed through both layers of the cake. Pro tip: use wooden dowels, I used what I had on hand. Add sprinkles to hide the seams and all of your mistakes. Don’t worry, I won’t tell.
Guess what? You can spray paint balloons. I sprayed the silver letter balloons at Party City with one coat of spray paint and it came out amazing. As of now the balloons are still in great shape and we are on day five. (hehehe, get it) I love a good DIY project and this backdrop was the perfect addition to Rosie’s Hi FIVE party. I found this cute wrapping paper from TJ Max and the colors coordinate perfectly.
You can’t have a Hi Five party without cute tiny handprints. I used the Mondo Llama paint at Target and the color options are endless. To get the perfect handprint spread paint on your little ones hand and scrape off the access. Stamp different hand print colors randomly and there you go. A cute Hi Five backdrop.
Rosie loves to sing happy birthday and blow out candles. Sometimes we just do it it randomly at home. So it is no surprise that she was READY to blow her candle out on her birthday. Just look at that face. Enjoy the rest of Rosies birthday pictures.
