Pinneaple Bowls for Lent + Giant Food

For Lent, my family and I are giving up meat and this year I wanted to create a fun recipe that the kids can help with and enjoy. In the summer we love smoothie bowls and I knew Pineapple bowls would be perfect.

Here are the ingredients for my Shrimp and Veggie Pineapple Bowls. Pro tip: Before shopping order your steamed shrimp from Giant Food.

  1. Pineapples
  2. Baby Tomatoes
  3. Lime
  4. Lime Juice
  5. Rainbow Peppers
  6. Crackers
  7. Chips
  8. White rice
  9. Shrimp
  10. Crab
  11. Cilantro to taste

To make the pineapple bowls you need to find the perfect pineapples. I like to take my time to find the perfect ones. You are looking for Pineapples that are even all around.

  1. slice the pineapple
    1. remove pineapple and save it for a smoothie! You can use a ice cream scoop to gently scoop the sides of the pineapple.
  2. prepare your ingredients
    1. dice peppers
    2. cut lime
    3. steam rice
  3. Build your bowl
